Library
"A library is not a luxury but one of the necessities of life." - Henry Ward Beecher
We couldn't agree more. The Dr. Lura Gregory Memorial Library, 205 Pecan St., is filled with great reads, from the classics to the latest bestsellers. The library has an extensive children's collection as well as a carefully curated history collection, many belonging to the late local historian Dr. Phillip Rutherford. Looking for a lost relative? The Genealogy Room may provide your answer. Or just want to reminisce about those wonderful school days? This area has all the Roxton Lions yearbooks, a pictorial history of classes and events dating back to the 1900's. Come spend Saturday with us. You won't be disappointed.
The library is open each Saturday from 10-2. If you would like to make an appointment to access the Genealogy Room, call City Hall.
